Who we are

Indigo 42 is a web and app development studio based in Lincoln, run by Joe Self. For anything about your data, email hello@indigo42.co.

What we collect when you get in touch

When you send the contact form, we receive your name, email address, what you are looking for, your budget and timeline if you choose them, and your message.

So we know how people find us, the form also sends some details about that visit: the page you first landed on, the website that sent you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, the page you were on before the contact page, and how many pages you viewed. These are kept in your browser only for that visit and are sent to us only if you submit the form.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and talk about your project. If we go on to work together, we use them to run the project and send invoices. We don’t sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and on taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.

Who else handles it

The contact form is processed by Formspree, which passes your message to our email. The site is hosted by Vercel. If you book a call through a booking link, that booking service’s own privacy notice also applies.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages are visited and how fast they load. They do not use cookies and do not identify you. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any project that follows, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email hello@indigo42.co and we will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
